Journal Aims & Scope
The IDGI-BC Journal of Dialogues in Higher Education is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research, policy dialogue, and practice-oriented insights that support innovation, quality, and accountability in independent post-secondary education and related digital ecosystems.
The journal provides a platform for scholarly and applied contributions that examine how independent institutions, policymakers, and industry stakeholders respond to evolving regulatory, technological, and societal demands. In line with IDGI-BC’s mission, the journal emphasizes evidence-based approaches that strengthen institutional quality, innovation capacity, and public value.
The journal is dedicated to publishing rigorous, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary scholarship that advances understanding of innovation, governance, and quality in post-secondary education and digital learning environments.
Scope of the Journal
The journal welcomes original research, conceptual frameworks, and practice-based studies in areas including, but not limited to:
- Digital transformation in post-secondary education
- Artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and innovation ecosystems
- Institutional governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance
- Quality assurance, accreditation, and accountability frameworks
- Workforce development, skills, and lifelong learning
- Independent institutions’ contributions to economic and community development
- Technology-enhanced learning and educational policy
The journal seeks to bridge theory, policy, and practice, with particular relevance to independent degree-granting institutions in British Columbia and comparable global contexts.
All submission types are expected to demonstrate analytical rigor and relevance beyond a single institutional or localized setting.
